1) Mix shortening/butter, brown sugar, and eggs thoroughly 2) Sift together flour, salt, and baking soda and mix in nuts 3) Add dry ingredients to shortening mixture and mix until blended 4) Form into 2 inch rolls (should make about 3 rolls) 5) Wrap in wax paper and chill overnight 6) Cut into 1/8 inch slices and place on ungreased cookie sheet 7) Bake at 400 for 8-10 minutes
